Summer update

I haven't blogged in a while because there's not much going on...so I thought I'd just update what we've been doing even if they are little things. Matt is starting the paramedic precourse on Monday for two weeks. It's scary. He's scared, we're all kind of scared. It's intense and I'm a single mom for a year. Don't know how well I'll handle this. The actual program starts Aug. 31st, but he has to get through these two weeks with 80% or higher in order to stay in. He always succeeds especially when it comes to this field. He loves it and he's good at it.

The boys are doing well. Drew is still doing piano and seems to enjoy it. He's quite good at it. Zach is excited to be in tiger scouts and likes the den meetings. So far we've had lots of play dates and lots of swimming. We went shopping today at JCP and got some pretty good deals. I had a $15 off coupon if I spent $75 and then another $10 off coupon if I spent $50. We got 4 pairs of shorts, 8 shirts, 2 pull over sweat shirts, and 3 pairs of pants for $203.01. They had lots of sales. Tomorrow we're going to IKEA. I get a break because they have babysitting! EXCITED for that! Can't wait to shop with other adults by myself. I love my babies but sometimes I need a break.

The couponing is going well. Right now I'm working on stock piling my cabinets. My goal is to get to only buying perishables each week or two. My last savings was $130, but I spent $240. I can't wait until I get to saving more than I spend.
