Coupon update
I've been tracking the money I've saved over the past several months since I've started couponing. I can safely say that I used to spend $625 a month on groceries. In the beginning of my couponing journey I did spend more money than usually because I was stock piling. So that means more than the $625 that month. Now I only spend $400 a month and my cabinets are never empty. It does take some time to cut out the coupons and write the list. I shop at Ralphs and I never buy anything that's not on sale there. I'll try anything even it means changing brands. You do have to watch for items that are cheaper if you buy the store brand instead of the name brand even with a coupon. I find that ziplock bags and things like that are ones that will be more expensive than the store brand even with the coupon. It's really boils down to how much you save and how much you spend. You are ultimately trying to spend less. So there's my savings, $225 bucks! I have yet to figure out how to save more than I spend.

Regardless.....I am impressed! I just can't get it together to do the whole coupon thing all the time. I guess really even 15 percent of the time! I think you are doing great! Keep it up.
ReplyDeletegood job Tracy!!
ReplyDeleteDo you have a super walmart with food? Shop there and they price match everything from other stores. So take your ads or go to a register that the lady has the ads. AND still use your coupons on top of the price matching. That is what we do! I save a ton of money this way!
