Christmas Day

Christmas is full of tradition in our family. It started with Matt's family. We go over there around 5pm on Christmas Eve and get our 5 o'clock gift and we eat appetizers. Then we start to open the gifts. We go until we are done. It's been as late as 1 o'clock in the morning on some years. It has gotten earlier since most of us have small children.

Matt and I started our own tradition on Christmas Day morning. We want it to be just the 4 of us for a short time in the morning. I make cinnamon rolls and we open our gifts in our jammies when the boys wake us up.

In the afternoon, my side of the family usually comes over or we go over to my sister's house in San Diego. This year it was at our house. I love this time of year to enjoy being together with no agenda or stress.
