Summer happenings

For our first week off together I think it's going pretty well. Matt and I made a new rule of no TV until 7pm. Easier said than done, but we've done well. They find things to do in the morning then we have been off and running. We've been to the Orange Terrace Park three times now. The boys love it and each time Drew has found a new friend. They are usually girls and one of them told him, "she would never forget him." How cute! I'd better start keeping my eye out for those girls now! He sure is handsome!

I started this new way of eating. It's called "crack the fat loss code." It's hard to say the least. Today is day 3 of only 20 carbs each day and it's very difficult, but when I stepped on the scale this morning I got my motivation back because I lost 4 pounds in two days. Ok, ok I know that I can't eat like this forever so it's a good thing it's only a week and then I move on to other things. It's an 8 week process and too long to describe so if you want to know, just ask me.

Matt started his first round of shifts yesterday, so he'll be back on Friday morning. It's no fun having him gone not because I need help but because we miss him. Last night was rough for Zach. He kept crying so he ended up sleeping with me and was asleep two seconds after his head hit the pillow. He's a sweet boy and needed to be close to me. Tonight we'll probably go back to our ritual when Matt is gone and that's where they sleep on my floor and I lock us all in the room. It feels safer that way....

We're hanging tough and know that this will be a good thing once he's done. This has been a good year for this Chelette household and we look forward for the future months and some more summer fun.

Thanks friends and family for keeping us busy with good hearted fun! We love you and all of your kids!
