So I went to a website called hip2save.com that my friend told me about and watched a video for new couponers. It helped a bunch. It talked about how much you can save at stores like CVS pharmacy, Target, and Walgreens. So I thought I'd clip my coupons from today's paper and set out. There is a CVS Pharmacy right by our home, so I went there first. I didn't have an extra care card, so I got one of those, easy. Then I set out to shop trying to get things for free. That didn't happen so much, but I did get things really cheap. I checked out the trial size things first and only ended up with floss pick for $1.99 and I had a coupon for $1 off. Then I moved on to the rest of the store. At CVS, they have a deal where if you buy a certain product then you get CVS rewards cash you can use on your next purchase. Love it! So I bought two things that fell under that category. I bought 3 other things and used coupons with all of the items I bought. Oh, and I did not buy anything that wasn't on sale. So I asked a bunch of questions before going up to the register to pay and they were very kind and answered them all. You can use store coupons with a manufactured coupon (double savings). But you cannot use two manufactured coupons at the same time with the same product.
So long story short I went to pay and I spent $11.17, BUT I got $5.50 in extra care saving "cash." So technically one could go right back in there and purchase more items that have that same deal with the rewards cash you just got and get them for free and then get more rewards cash. BEAUTIFUL! All in all, I saved $6.80 with sales and coupons. I got $5.50 in extra care money, so that's $12.30, which is more than I spent. Here's a picture of what I bought.

Then I went to Walgreens and bought these and paid $2.10. I saved $4.23 there.

You're like the bargainn shopper!! You go. I always try to do this, I like commonsensewithmoney.com. I think that's what it is, but I always end up throwing more stuff in. Discipline. I've got to find it somewhere.
