It was a beautiful day on Saturday.

We were invited to a birthday party

at Huntington Beach.

I've never been a beach
person only because of

all the sand and mess.
After I had my kids it

didn't change how I felt
about the beach. Not

only did it get sandier
and messier, I am always

nervous about losing
them. Saturday was
no exception. I wasn't
particularly looking
forward to going,
but after being
there with great
people and enjoying
the freedom of
everyone watching
everyone's kids, I
eased up. The party
planners had the
great idea of the kids wearing wrist
bands with their
cell phone numbers
on them along with
the tower station
number we were right
next to.
Brilliant!
While we were
there, as you can
see, the boys had
a blast! I've slowly
changed
my mind
about the beach
just after seeing how
much fun they had.
Matt works out there so he
even got to stop by
and the kids got to
go in the ambulance
and check it out.
What an added
bonus to a wonderful
day. Needless to say,
the car ride home was
peaceful.
