Reflections contest

Drew entered into a Reflections contest at school around Sept. There are several different categories like literature, music, film/video, dance, art, and photography. He entered into the music category and had to make up his own song. During the summer he began. He's always played around making up his own tunes and melodies, so it came together pretty well. The most fun he had was recording it at Matt's cousin's studio. So then the project was done and we turned it in and didn't hear anything until the day before Christmas break. He WON in the music category and moved on to the next level.

Each participant who won at the school level and moved on were invited to a ceremony to receive their ribbon. We planned on going from the beginning. When we got there, he was pleasantly surprised to find out that he WON AGAIN and is now moving on to the district level. I couldn't be more proud. He actually felt proud too. We'll see where it goes from here. Don't know how long it will take to hear about the next level of winners. I'll keep you updated.
