Well it's been a while since my last post. There are a few reasons behind that. Zach dropped our camera and broke the lens (he thought I had it) and not sure when we can get a new one and we've been pretty busy. Matt has been gone for most of the week with school and work. He started work on Friday and hasn't stopped (literally) yet. We went to see him for lunch today and he looked pretty beat. He's about half way through the paramedic program, so we're on the downward stretch and that feels pretty good. He was happy to hear today at lunch that this was his LAST Sunday shift. I'm glad I could bring him some good news!!
Yesterday we went to my friend Ali's son's 1st birthday party and that was fun to see friends and the boys jumped their hearts out again and didn't smash, kick, stomp, or trample one small child. That was a miracle in itself. We're also busy with Drew earning money for summer camp and me taxiing him to and fro, scouts, reflection contest ceremonies, piano, songing, and family dinners. It's fun, but busy.
Work is ok now. Still no word on any pink slip rescindings yet so that's stressful, but as time has passed now, it's calmed down. I'm still praying for those who were pinked though.
I'm currently reading three books. I think I need to finish one before I pick up another one, but that's not how things are going right now. I'm reading Dear John, The Power of a Praying Wife, and The Love Dare. They are all very good. I'm enjoying Dear John the best which I'm sure isn't the order I should enjoy them, but that's how I feel right now. I know I'm a sinner who loves Jesus the best I can. I'm still working on selfishness. What can I say I'm human. Have a happy Sunday evening!
I loved Dear John! I thought the book was a lot better than the movie.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you will all have a little more of Husband & Daddy at home. I know we miss ours when he is away!
ReplyDeleteI loved and hated Dear John. Have you seen the movie yet. Maybe we can get together and go see it.
