Zach's goods and services project

Apparently first graders are taught about goods and services as part of the social studies curriculum because we now have a goods and services project due on Monday. Being that I am a parent of the cutest first grader around, I gladly helped out. The first thing he had to do was tour a goods and services business. We just so happen to be in connection with one of those, so we went and toured some family member's company Plumbersurplus.com. They have another in connection with this one called Outdoorpros.com, but we mainly focused on Plumbersurplus.com. At first Zach didn't want to go in, interview his own uncle (this is how shy he is), and he certainly didn't want to write any of the answers down while we were there. He wanted to do that at home. After a lot of insisting on my part we finally made it in the door and he was totally fine after that. He is supposed to present this in front of the others in his class. I think that is going to be another challenge. Good luck with that.

We were shown the offices, the warehouse, customer service, how products are packaged, data entry, and advertisment. Uncle Brian, Uncle Ronnie, Uncle Jeff, and Uncle Tim all made him feel right at home which helped with the whole shy thing, so thanks. I just realized I didn't get a picture of Brian and Zach together. I'll do that and post later. Now off to make a diarama this weekend.
